Community Comes Together to “Meet the Machines” at Annual CRPD Event

Hundreds of community members gathered on Saturday, September 13, to “Meet the Machines” at Cordova Recreation & Park District’s (CRPD) annual event!

From impressive emergency vehicles and construction equipment to a hot air balloon bursting with flames, kids had the unique opportunity to climb aboard and explore a wide variety of machines and vehicles up close. The event also featured a train ride, tricycle race, music and a whole lot of fun!

Beyond just having fun, families had the chance to interact with the professionals who operate these machines every day, gaining valuable insights and learning firsthand about the important roles these vehicles play in our community.

A huge thank you to Sacramento Area Sewer District and A&E Air Jumpers for making this event an even greater success, and a special thank you to CRPD Director Brian Danzl for donating fun hard hats for the kids!
