RANCHO CORDOVA, CA – The Cordova Recreation & Park District (CRPD) is proud to support the Folsom Cordova Unified School District’s (FCUSD) Families in Transition (FIT) Services program with a heartfelt donation of $1,465 in Target and Dollar Tree gift cards. Every dollar was generously donated by CRPD staff, board members and former board members, demonstrating a personal commitment to uplifting our community.
The FIT Services program provides essential resources to students and families facing hardships and offers support that gives students the stability they need to focus on their education.
“At CRPD, we are not just public servants—we are neighbors, parents and community members who care deeply about making a difference,” said General Manager Patrick Larkin. “This donation is a reflection of the compassion and generosity of our staff and board members, who wanted to personally support students and families in need.”
CRPD’s partnership with the FIT Services program is part of a larger tradition of giving. Earlier this year, CRPD staff also organized a donation drive that collected over 500 self-care items for the program. These collective efforts showcase the power of community-driven support and the impact of individuals coming together to help others.
“A big thank you to the amazing team at CRPD for going above and beyond to support Families in Transition at FCUSD! Your generosity and dedication are sincerely appreciated. It’s incredible to see what a team can achieve when we work together to serve our community. You’re making a real difference, and we’re so grateful for all you do!” said FCUSD Superintendent, Erik Swanson.
The FIT Services program continues to welcome contributions and community members and organizations are encouraged to join in supporting these vital efforts. “CRPD continues to inspire us with their incredible generosity and unwavering support. They remain trusted and valued partners in serving FCUSD’s most vulnerable families. We are deeply grateful for CRPD’s ongoing partnership, which exemplifies the power of community collaboration to achieve the collective good. Thank you for making such a meaningful difference!” said FCUSD Director of Social Emotional Learning & Equity, Dr. Iyuanna Pease.
CRPD is humbled and honored to contribute to such an impactful program. Together, as a community, we can ensure that every student has the opportunity to thrive.
